Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour Music
As a happily married couple, The Better Halves love to be a musical part of wedding ceremonies. With Jimmy Joe's extensive training at Berklee and the Guitar Institute, he is adept at many styles, including classical music. And he is a fantastic arranger, creating beautiful pieces for 2 guitars, or guitar and mandolin, sitar, ukelele or banjo. The Better Halves' repertoire includes the likes of "Canon in D", "The Wedding March", "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" and "Ode to Joy". The two also love making instrumentals out of popular songs, from Hank Williams to Van Morrison to The Beatles to Jack Johnson. This gives couples a chance to have a wedding ceremony that is custom tailored to them and their musical tastes.
Jimmy Joe and Chrissie's music is also uniquely suited to providing cocktail hour entertainment, between the ceremony and reception.
They sing many popular songs themed to weddings and love (like "Jackson" by Johnny Cash and June Carter, "Waltz across Texas," "You and Me" by Lifehouse, etc., plus many of their originals.) So they can easily transition from instrumentals for the ceremony to fun duets and songs for guests to enjoy while waiting for the bride and groom to make their entrance!
